Our school programs follow the academic calendar year, running from September through June. We offer a six-week summer program during June and July. We are closed for the month of August.

Morningside opens at 8:15am, Monday-Friday. All morning programs have flexible drop-off.

Financial Aid

Financial aid applications are now open for the 2024/25 school year. Please read the information below thoroughly to learn about our program and how to submit your application. Priority is given to families that submit their school application by the ISAAGNY deadline, January 11th.

Our limited need-based program relies on the fundraising efforts of the school’s parent body. Please note:

  • MMS is only able to offer a limited number of small financial aid awards. Full tuition awards are not available at this time. Funding is provided by the fundraising efforts of Morningside Montessori families.

  • Due to our limited funds, we do not offer financial aid for the two-day Toddler Program or the Young Toddlers Together program.

  • Please note that financial aid awards may be used only for the specific program for which you apply. If you wish to move your child to an alternate program after receiving an aid award, a revised application must be submitted in consultation with our Financial Aid team.

Applications are redacted to ensure anonymity and submitted to our Financial Aid Team for review. This team is comprised of school administrators who work in consultation with Morningside Montessori School’s Board of Trustees.

Deadlines to Apply & Timeline for Receiving Award Notification

Current Families: A complete FA application must be received by January 19, 2024. Families will be notified of awards on January 22, 2024, and be required to make a deposit for the 2024-2025 school year by January 26, 2024.

Sibling/Legacy/Alumni Families: A complete FA application must be received by January 19, 2024. Families will be notified of awards on January 22, 2024, and be required to make a deposit for the 2024-2025 school year by January 26, 2024.

New Families: A complete FA application must be received by February 16, 2024. If families are awarded aid, they will be notified of awards concurrently with their Offer of Admission letter in March. They will be required to make a deposit for the 2023-2024 school year in accordance with the terms of their Offer.

Financial Aid Application:

All information below must be included in your Financial Aid Application in order for your application to be considered. There is no fee to apply for financial aid – however, financial aid applications will not be reviewed without an MMS Admission application on file first.

Please send an email to accounting@morningsidemontessori.org, with the following information:

1) In the subject line, include the Child’s Name and Date of Birth (this should match what is on the Admissions Application).

2) In the email body, please include a brief Personal Statement that further helps us understand your financial situation. Feel free to explain financial circumstances, assets or debts, changes in employment, home, or family situation, information regarding other siblings and what other tuition you may be paying, etc. Please also include what you feel you are able to pay towards MMS's annual tuition.

3) Attach the last two years of Federal Tax Returns to this email— (likely 2021 & 2022; 2023 is also fine). If parents file as “Single,", or "Married filing separately", please attach tax returns for both parents.

4) Kindly also attach the W2’s that support the income stated on these returns.

5) Finally, please include the best phone number/email addresses to reach you if we have any questions as we proceed with the FA process.
